そもそもまだ辞書なしで普通の英語の文章を読めない

Recently my learning English was focused on how many words I read in a period. My calculation was like this: "If I read English text at the speed of, say, 100 words per minute, and if I read for 3 hours a day, then I can read 18,000 words a day. And it takes about a little less than two months to read one million words."

But this was a castle in the sky. That is, it was still an impossibility. Why?

I must take into account time to be unavoidably spent looking up in dictionaries. And this is far from ignorable. Rather, it still constitutes the substantial part of my learning English.

So I came to know that it is still too early for me to make a plan concerning the amount of words read, that is, the reading speed. Probably my present appropriate aim would be to be able to read ordinary English text basically without dictionaries. And I don't know how long it takes for me to reach that point.

Probably, presently I can half mechanically read 100 to 150 English words per minute if I don't use any dictionary. But it wouldn't be effective in terms of learning English. For what I can learn by looking up in dictionaries are learnt only by looking up in dictionaries. I think many of English learners are on this long way to go.
