There would be many ways under the name of reading practice ... A pure speed reading, a scrutiny reading, a scanning, etc.

My reading practice now is a bit bent for grammatical factors of text -"Why is that particular form taken for the word(s)?"

For example, I may read with extra attention paid to the form of verbs. Or sometimes with attention paid to the definite and indefinite articles. And so on. ... It's a little series of study drill for each grammatical category.

Usually my reading practice was done without such special attentions. That is, I read, as it were, rather intuitively. But this is not the only way for reading practice.

Now I've read about 300 pages of some 500-page grammar book. I wouldn't say it's almost there to finish reading this grammar book. But past the greater part of the volume of the book, I feel it would be more and more readily to carry on reading the grammar book to the end.

What I think now about English reading and grammar is ... it's not enough to have grammatical knowledge. It would be something like a rough sketch. Fine-tuning of English literacy to grasp the fine nuances of words would only be accomplished by sufficient experience and usage. That is, for me, it seems reading English more and more would be the key all the more.

By reading a grammar book, I probably could be able to read English more carefully of grammatical nuances.

But this post, as well as all the former posts of this blog, would be grammatically very erroneous. My writing practice is still not at the level where I should be very careful of grammatical details. The main purpose of my writing English here is, for now, in doing output practice no matter what grammatical flaws there should be.

I think what I've written here as my diary or something is quite sloppy and must be factually fairly unreliable, let alone grammatical errors.

I could say that here I put the weight more on writing something in English itself than on being careful for factual correctness.

The reason is that this is as writing exercise. And another reason is ... that if I write something in English and post it, you can thereby see that I'm continuing studying English. The major thing I could inform readers of with this blog might be that thing. But it would also be true that it would not necessarily be required for me to keep on this blog for that English writing exercise.
