洋書多読の頃合い

As to my efforts to improve my English reading skill, I started mainly by reading textbooks and by working on exercise books. Next, I've been mainly reading web articles by taking feeds from websites of magazines, periodicals, news and forums.

But now, I think that probably my main reading material should be books. The reason is because I found I'm feeling that examining feed contents every day to pick up ones to read is becoming a bit, or perhaps rather, time-inefficient.

In addition to this, as I've been following the feeds for some long period, novelty of the contents of them taken collectively is gradually growing less, and this lessening of novelty would have been probably inevitable. Meanwhile, my reading skill of English has already improved not a little.

And an article is usually a short content compared to a book. If you find a nice article in which you are interested, the text usually does not last hundreds-page-long. You finish reading the article relatively soon. And you start again looking for a new article to read.

But once you find a nice book in which you are interested, you don't have to start again searching for a new book soon, because it would take longer time to finish reading it than articles on the Internet.
