第241回TOEIC公開テストの結果が届いた、が…

I've got the result of the score of the previous TOEIC I took. And the score was very disappointing. I expected that the score should increase. For subjectively I had felt my English reading skill had been quite improved. Therefore the score, I expected, would increase.

It was the contrary. The score sharply fell. Perhaps it was because of the listening section, and the score in the reading section might not have been so much changed from that of the previous ... anyways, my TOEIC score this time was ... lackluster.

But why was this score? There is a gap between my expectation and the result. What is it that can explain this gap?

Maybe I had a prejudice that there be little inherent fluctuation in TOEIC score. That is, a prejudice that, for example, if you took the exam twice on a day, you would get the same scores.

If TOEIC score must show not a little inherent fluctuation, it is not safe to have too much reliance on TOEIC score. That is, if so, I should not think of TOEIC score as a very good tool to quantitatively grasp my current English skills. I have to keep making efforts in studying English without paying excessive heed to TOEIC score.
