This time I write about reading aloud English text. So far, I've rarely read English text with my voice uttered. Usually I read silently. The reason is that, reading aloud, I can't concentrate enough on understanding the text.

But I imagine that if my reading skills have much developed, maybe occasional reading aloud English text would be fun. This way of reading would make me feel more committed to the language.

But this shows that my reading speed as to ordinary English text is still slower than speech speed. It would be no use being disappointed at it. The only way to go beyond this level is by carrying on my learning.

By the way, when reading aloud, I feel I can feel some "texture" of language. A language has its particular general tone or something like that. I mean, it's phonetic constitution of a language. I mean, each language has its own musicality.

I once have seen a question in Quora "What does English sound like to foreigner ears?" Let me say of my personal impression. English has many consonants in its utterance relative to Japanese. And with parts of utterance blurred under the effect of stress accent, English sometimes sounds a bit shy and a bit hesitant to my ears. That can turn attractive to me.
